I may never catch up

First off, a lot of thanks goes to *f-hole and the fantastic *StreetDDs. I really missed dA without a subscription, so thank you a lot! I also want to say how proud I am of this group, it was fantastic to come back to dA and see it still being run and being run WELL!

An update on lil Evie: She really is little! She is working on gaining weight. She was 6lbs11oz at birth, and as is usual, she lost a lot after birth. She hasn't been gaining so well, she was 6lbs4oz today. Everything looks great, she is super strong and active and eating well.

I have to say, I'm really really tired of strangers coming up to me in stores and wanting to see the baby and "how old is she? how big i she? omgosh she's so little! you look so tired!" and on. It's enough to make me a total hermit.

But really, she IS cute.



I'm still taking photos, mostly of Evie of course. I'll try not to overwhelm everyone with baby photos.

Also, you may have noticed me and not commenting, thats generally because I'm nursing and/or have handsful of baby. I'd love to comment but sometimes all I can do is click.

Now a shortened version of the oops born at home story.

9/6/07 I woke up at 6am with contractions, no more or less than usual. They started to get worse around 6:30 so I took a bath, which is where we guess my water broke. Around 7:15 they got really bad so I called the DR. By the time he called back, Evie was crowning and at 7:30 she was born. It was really too fast from normal contractions to 3-4 minutes apart for us to do anything but have her at home.

This does make the paperwork for her birthcertificate a huge pain in the ass however.
